Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Treat Recipe

Hello everyone!

Last week a became inspired to bake George some homemade treats! I have found buying treats from the pet store can get expensive and sometimes i don’t really understand what some of the ingredients are!! So what better way to fix that issue and make the treats myself with all natural ingredients!

As this is my first post when it comes to this section of the site, it will all evolve over time so please be patient! 🙂

The first recipe i tried was a ‘Pumpkin, Peanut Butter Treat’ The ingredients were straight forward and simple and should be things that are readily available. See below for the recipe and let me know if you have any questions!

  • 1 Cup
    Mashed Pumpkin
  • 2 Cups
    Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup
Peanut Butter ( Do not use Peanut Butter that lists Xylitol, can be very harmful to dogs)
  • 2 Cups
    Plain Flour

  1. Cook your pumpkin and mash until it is similar to a paste.

  2. Mix the Rolled Oats and the Pumpkin together until combined.

  3. Add the Peanut Butter and mix until well combined.

  4. Add 1 cup of the flour at a time and mix all the ingredients together until you have a dough.

  5. I kneaded the dough briefly and rolled out on a floured bench and rolled until the dough was around 1 cm thick.

  6. One the dough was rolled out i used a doggy bone cookie cutter and placed them on a tray covered in foil and baked for 30 mins at 180C in a fan forced oven.
